Map Guidelines

1. Maps must be cleared by atleast one player.

First clear must follow the clear guidelines mentioned later.

2. Maps must meet a reasonable standard of quality

This will be decided by list helpers on a case by case basis, but will not be very strict. Please just make sure your map had actual effort put into it.

3. Maps cannot contain explicit or offensive material.

Examples include: NSFW, gore, political content, homophobic content, racist content, sexist content. This is not an exhaustive list of banned content.

Clear Guidelines

1. All clears must have proof of completion

For maps rated 4★ or above, video proof uploaded to youtube is required. For maps rated 3★ or lower, either a youtube video or a screenshot of the map in the custom maps page uploaded through Catbox will be accepted.

2. All clears must be done on the latest map version as of the time of completion

Exceptions may apply under certain circumstances, as decided by any list helper.

3. All dashless clears must have a visible input display.

The input display must have a button displaying the following: Jump, Dash, Move left, Move right. This does not apply to clears done before this list was made public.

Player Guidelines

1. Plain and simple: don't cheat.

You will usually be taken at your word, and exceptions will be made liberally for genuine, unintentional mistakes. Do not intentionally break the rules, as that will result in indefinite removal.

2. Any list helper has the right to, at any time, for any reason, temporarily or permanently remove any player from submitting clears.

This can be overridden by mossy.

3. Any clear submission that breaks the rules above will be handled on a case by case basis.

General rule of thumb, make sure you have read and understand the rules before submitting a clear as to not run into issues later.

No matter what, the first offense will always be a warning and will result in no removal, unless under unusual circumstances. Any further offense will be handled on a case by case basis.

We will try our best to ensure that actual mistakes are not punished harshly, but there is always a chance that you will be removed temporarily or permanently if rules are broken.

4. Treat others with respect and follow the rules listed on the Micro Platformer Discord server.

Use common sense. If you treat this community poorly, your actions will not be taken lightly and you will be indefinitely removed, no exceptions.
